I’m offering a limited number of spots for three separate half-day "Introduction to Large Format Cameras" workshops, held in my home studio (garage) in Seaford, on the border of the Mornington Peninsula.
This hands-on session will give you the perfect opportunity to experience large format photography before making the leap.

Introduction to Large Format Cameras
This hands-on workshop is designed for anyone curious about large format photography and looking to explore the process in a practical, approachable way.
We’ll start with the fundamentals—understanding large format cameras, film requirements, and recommended accessories and then we we’ll move on to shooting. Weather permitting, we'll head outdoors to the scenic Seaford Wetlands Trail, or if conditions aren’t ideal, we’ll work with studio lighting inside my home studio garage.
After a short break for morning tea and to wrap up, I’ll walk you through the essentials of developing your own 4x5 film, including a live demonstration of black-and-white home processing.
No past experience is necessary, although a basic level of understanding of film photography would benefit.

Natalie Finney is an award-winning fine art photographer with a passion for analogue processes and storytelling through imagery. With years of experience working with both digital and film photography, she has developed a deep appreciation for the craft of large format photography and enjoys sharing this knowledge with others.
Natalie has extensive experience teaching photography workshops, mentoring emerging photographers, and speaking at industry events. Her workshops focus on making technical concepts approachable, encouraging hands-on learning, and fostering creativity in a supportive environment.
